A murder investigation has been launched after a man died from being seriously assaulted in flat in Coulsdon.

The incident took place just before 9.30pm last night near Reddown Road.

A 59 year old man was found with head injuries and stab wounds.

A post mortem is being carried out meanwhile a  man in his 30s and was arrested on suspicion of murder.
