The authority made the decision last month to halt work on the redevelopment of the old Kingfisher site.
It’s after the estimated cost of knocking down and rebuilding the centre spiralled from £39 million to over £50 million.
An outline business case with proposed timescales for the programme will go before councillors on June the 20th.
