Health Minister Edward Argar has written to Mitcham MP Siobhan McDonagh, about the new development planned for Belmont.
It follows an article in The Health Service Journal, suggesting hospitals have been told to “submit cheaper rebuild plans”.
Mr Argar says submitting the process will ensure they can provide “value for money, affordability, strategic fit, and deliverability”.
