Dog-walkers in Richmond and Bushy Parks are being reminded they must keep their animals on a lead throughout the Month of May

The month is expected to see the births of more than 300 deer in herds living in two of the royal parks.

The mandatory use-of leashes for dogs began four years ago.

Rangers say the deer have become less nervous since the introduction.

All park visitors are being urged not to approach the dear during the birthing season.

Chessington World of Adventures is to be hit by a series of strikes over the coming Bank Holiday weekends

Maintenance engineers are planning a series of walk-outs over the Spring holiday season beginning on Friday.

Their union, Unite, says the stoppages could cause disruption to rides.

Sutton Council is inviting residents to give their views on the extension of the Ultra Low Emissions Zone in a meeting taking place tonight.

Sutton Council has come out against the expansion and said it will not support it unless public transport in the borough is improved, the scrappage scheme is expanded, and the scheme is delayed until the cost-of-living crisis is over.

Tickets to attend the debate will be made available from 6pm on the day at Sutton Central Library, and the meeting is also available to watch online.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is pressing ahead with the launch of the scheme at the end of August to "clean up London's air."

A school street is when the roads around a school are closed to motor vehicles to become a pedestrian and cycle zone.

The lanes will remain open to road residents, and will operate during term time, Monday to Friday, for one hour at 8:15am and 2:45pm.

Following the successful trial period in 2022, the scheme is also expected to contribute to reduced local pollution.
